* Utah clinched its second Mountain West Conference regular-season championship in the last three years with wins over UNLV and San Diego State. The Utes also claimed the title in 2003, and won the MWC Tournament title in 2003 and 2004.

* All eight teams finish regular-season play this weekend. Utah leads the standings with a 6-0 conference record, followed by BYU (4-1-1) and UNLV (4-2).

* BYU is ranked in the NSCAA/adidas poll for the fifth consecutive week. The Cougars stand at No. 15.
