As the MWC enters the third week of conference play, UNLV ranks first in the standings with a 3-0-1 record. San Diego State follows with a 3-1 mark. The Aztecs will face third-place Utah on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. MT. The contest will be televised live on The Mtn.

BYU (12-2-2, 2-2 MWC) and Utah (10-2-4, 2-0-2 MWC) are both ranked in the Soccer Buzz poll this week, while the Cougars also received nods from the NSCAA poll. BYU stands at No. 26 and No. 23, while the Utes are ranked No. 22 and receiving votes in the Soccer Buzz and NCAA polls, respectively.

Mountain West players are among the nation's best this season. Utah's Adele Letro is third in the nation for her goals per game (1.067 gpg) and fifth for points per game (2.33 ppg). Teammate Kelly Isleib is also ranked tied for second for assists per game (0.79 apg). BYU goalkeeper Erika Woodbury stands in seventh place for her goals against average (.436), allowing only seven total goals on the season.

In the latest RPI numbers released by the NCAA, the Mountain West has three teams ranked in the top 65. Utah (44), UNLV (50) and BYU (62) lead the way, followed by New Mexico (87) and San Diego State (107).
