BYU's Cramer-Rose Named MWC Women's Soccer Player of the Week Junior scored three goals on seven shots last week.
Oct. 21, 2002 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - BYU junior midfielder/defender Aleisha Cramer-Rose has been named the Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week after leading the Cougars to road victories over conference foe New Mexico and No. 23 Notre Dame. This is her first weekly honor of the season and second of her career. Cramer-Rose, a Lakewood, Colo., product, scored three goals on seven shots last week, including a two goal performance in BYU's, 3-2, win over the Lobos. She scored her first goal of the contest on a penalty kick in the 32nd minute, knotting the score at one apiece, then scored again in the 38th minute on an unassisted strike. Against the 23rd-ranked Fighting Irish, Cramer-Rose netted the game-winner on a penalty kick in the 79th minute to give the Cougars a 3-2 victory, their second over a ranked opponent this year. On the season she is second on the team in goals (five), assists (four) and points (14).
