COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - New Mexico junior forward Kristine Sweat and UNLV sophomore defender Ashly O'Harrow have been named Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.

Sweat, from Concord, Calif., scored the game-winning goal in the Lobos' 1-0 upset over No. 6 BYU in Provo, Utah. She also scored a goal to knot the match at 2-2 vs. Utah, but the Lobos fell 3-2. Sweat started both games, playing the full 90 minutes against the Cougars and 87 minutes against the Utes. In two games, she produced five shots, four on goal, and collected her fourth and fifth goals of the season. Sweat currently leads the team with 31 shots through 11 games, and moved up to eighth all-time with 90 career shots.

O'Harrow, a Las Vegas, Nev., native, was part of a backline that did not allow a goal in two conference wins over the weekend, as the Rebels shutout Air Force and Wyoming. UNLV was the only team to not allow a goal in conference play last weekend. She helped hold the two teams to a combined 15 shots, and came up just as big on the offensive side, as she knocked in a deflected save with just nine seconds left to give the Rebels at 1-0 win over Wyoming.
