COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. ­ BYU senior midfielder Michelle Jensen Peterson has been named the Mountain West Conference Women¹s Soccer Player of the Week for the third time this season following her 11-point performance last week.

Peterson, a product of Salt Lake City, Utah, scored four goals on six shots and added two assists for 11 total points in the Cougars two conference victories last week. In BYU¹s 4-1 victory at New Mexico, Peterson scored a goal and tallied two assists. On Saturday at Utah, she notched her second hat trick of the season with three goals in the Cougar¹s 5-2 win. Peterson scored her first goal vs. the Utes with just over a minute played (1:01) into the match. She broke a 1-1 tie with her second goal at the 51:43 mark and completed the hat trick in the 68th minute. Peterson also added assist in the contest.

A two-time all-conference selection, Peterson returned to the Cougars after serving her LDS mission during the past two seasons.
