COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - UNLV senior midfielder Anita Pedford has been named the Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week after helping the Rebels post a 2-0 record this past week. This is Pedford's first career weekly honor.

Pedford, a product of Ontario, Calif, scored two goals off six shots this past week to help UNLV extend its win streak to an all-time high four games. In Tuesday's 2-0 victory over Nevada, she scored an insurance goal in the 62nd minute to secure the win. Pedford netted the game-winning goal in the 1-0 victory at Northern Arizona Sunday. She is currently tied for first on the team in scoring with five goals and one assists for 11 total points.
