COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - BYU freshman forward Lauren Anderson and UNLV sophomore forward Ashleigh Shoughro have been named Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Co-Offensive Players of the Week, while Wyoming senior defender Laine Hubbard was named the Defensive Player of the Week.

Anderson, a native of Danville, Calif., tallied six points, including two goals and two assists in the Cougars' two wins over the weekend. In the 2-0 victory vs. Utah State, the forward assisted teammate Kassidy Christensen on the first score of the game and later received a pass from Christensen to find the back of the net. In the 5-0 victory over Utah, Anderson's goal and assist propelled the Cougars to their biggest win over the Utes since a 6-1 victory on Nov. 4, 2000.

Shoughro, a Las Vegas, Nev., product, had a hand in both of UNLV's goals in its 2-1 road victory at San Diego State. The win marked just the second victory on the Aztecs' home field for the Rebels. In the first half, Shoughro found the back of the net to tie the score at one goal apiece. In the 59th minute of the game, the forward sent a pass to teammate Haley Partridge, who buried the shot in the net for the game-winner.

Hubbard, who hails from Monument, Colo., led Wyoming to two shutout wins over the weekend. In the 1-0 win over Boise State, the senior anchored a Cowgirl defense that did not allow a shot on goal. In the 1-0 victory vs. Air Force, Hubbard helped limit the Falcons to only four total shots, including two on goal. In addition, she scored the game-winning goal, taking a shot from approximately 45 yards that slid past the goalkeeper.
