UNLV's Magliulo Named MWC Women's Soccer Player of the Week Sophomore recorded the first hat of her career.
Sept. 30, 2002 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - UNLV sophomore forward Annii Magliulo has been named the Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week after recording the first hat trick of her career (the second in the MWC this season), and assisting on another goal to lead the Rebels to a 4-2 victory over Cal State Northridge. Magliulo, a Pengrove, Calif., native, collected her hat trick off seven shots, with her first goal coming in the 33rd minute (assisted by Codi Schumaker) to tie the score at one apiece. In the 59th minute, she assisted Angie Inzana's goal, tying the score at two. Magliulo broke the tie in the 81st minute with her second goal of the match on an assist from Rachael Buscovich. She then put the game out of reach in the 86th minute, scoring an empty netter (from Nickie Olson) to secure the Rebel win. Her performance against Northridge put her on top of the MWC in total points (19), goals (nine) and goals per game (0.82). This is Magliulo's first career weekly award.
