Sept. 24, 2001

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Air Force freshman forward Jennifer Rowland has been named the Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week following the Falcons two victories last week.

Rowland, a product of La Canada, Calif., not only netted her first collegiate goal in the Falcons 4-2 victory over Georgia State last Friday, but collected her first career hat trick. She became the 11th player, and only the second freshman, in MWC history to record a hat trick. She is also the second Falcon this season to accomplish the feat (Beth Boyer scored four goals vs. Weber State Sept. 7). Rowland followed the three-goal performance with two assists in Air Force's 6-1 win over Portland State Sunday.
