COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - New Mexico junior midfielder Erchen Theys has been named the Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for her performance at the ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic in Evansville, Ind., last week. This is Theys' first career weekly honor.

Theys, a product of Langdorp, Belgium (Sint-Josephs College), netted two goals on four shots as the Lobos defeated Oakland and Evansville to capture the ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic tournament title. She started the tournament with the game-winning goal (43rd minute, unassisted) in UNM's 1-0 win over Oakland. In the 3-2 victory over Evansville, Theys knocked in the game-clinching goal on an assist from Abbie Partch in the 72nd minute giving the Lobos the tournament crown. For her performance, she was named the ProRehab Aces Classic Offensive MVP and to the All-Tournament team.
