COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Air Force freshman forward Bridgett Murphy and BYU freshman goalkeeper McKinzie Olson have been named Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.

Murphy, a native of Melbourne Beach, Fla., scored three of Air Force's four goals at the Border Shootout in El Paso, Texas. Murphy scored the lone goal in a 3-1 loss to tournament host, UTEP. Against Grambling State, the forward scored the game-winning goal and added another in a 3-0 victory. The game-winner against GSU gave Murphy three on the season, tying the Air Force freshman record.

Olson, a Cottonwood Heights, Utah, native, tallied her second and third shutouts of the season against No. 19 Miami (Fla.) and Michigan State. The goalkeeper handed both teams their first losses of the season as Miami had previously outscored their opponents 16-1, while Michigan State outscored their opponents 27-2 since the beginning of the 2008 campaign. She made five saves, while facing 25 shots.
