COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San Diego State sophomore forward Lisette Martinez and senior goalkeeper Stephanie Pearson have been named Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. This is the first career weekly award for both recipients.

Martinez, a Chula Vista, Calif., product, helped the Aztecs to a 2-0 record, assisting on three of SDSU's four goals over the weekend. In San Diego State's 3-0 victory over Southern Utah, she dished out two assists, the first of which was to Ashley Cooper 18:40 into the match. At the 42:39 mark, Martinez assisted Holly Huppert's goal off of a goalkeeper rebound to make the score 2-0. Against Weber State, her corner kick found Jen Klunder who headed in the pass at the 24:35 mark of the first half to secure the win for SDSU.

Pearson held Southern Utah and Weber State scoreless over the weekend. In 180 minutes of action, the Los Gatos, Calif., native, saved five shots. She started the week by turning away three of Southern Utah's shots, then saved two more shots against Weber State. On the season, Pearson has 19 total saves, three shutouts and a goals against average of 1.67.
