Colorado Springs, Colo. - Utah's Shauna Gurr has been named the Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week following her two-goal performance last week.

In Utah's 6-0 victory over Nevada, Gurr, a sophomore forward from Woods Cross, Utah (Woods Cross HS), recorded the final goal of the game in the 78th minute. The six goals are a team scoring high for the Utes this season. Utah ended the week with a 2-1 upset of the University of San Diego. Gurr took three of the Utes eight shots in the match and broke the scoreless tie at the 53:39 mark to put Utah ahead, 1-0.

This is Gurr's second player of the week honor in her career and first this season.
