Colorado Springs, Colo. - BYU's Michelle Jensen Peterson has been named the Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for her performance last weekend.

Peterson led the Cougars to two wins in three matches during the past week with a goal and three assists. In BYU's 4-2 win at Montana, the senior midfielder contributed a goal and two assists. In BYU's 3-0 win vs. Pac-10 foe Washington State, the Salt Lake City, Utah, native added an assist.

A two-time all-conference selection, Peterson returns to the Cougars after serving her LDS mission during the past two seasons.

Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week: Aug. 28 - Nicole Findlay, SDSU, Sept. 5 - Michelle Peterson-Jensen.
