Colorado Springs, Colo. ­ BYU's Michelle Jensen Peterson has been named the Mountain West Conference Women¹s Soccer Player of the Week for her performance last weekend.

Peterson led the Cougars to two wins in three matches during the past week with a goal and three assists. In BYU's 4-2 win at Montana, the senior midfielder contributed a goal and two assists. In BYU's 3-0 win vs. Pac-10 foe Washington State, the Salt Lake City, Utah, native added an assist.

A two-time all-conference selection, Peterson returns to the Cougars after serving her LDS mission during the past two seasons.
