LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's soccer team posted two shutouts in two spring-season matches on Saturday in St. George, Utah, which were held at Dixie State College.

UNLV defeated Utah State 2-0 and Dixie State College 1-0.

Against Utah State, the first goal was scored by Nicole Connelly from Jessica Destito on a cross from the left-hand side, finished from eight yards out into the right-hand side of the goal.

The second goal was also scored by Connelly, this time from Armani Rice, after a nice build-up through the midfield. Erica Jenson found Rice behind the Utah State defense. Rice played a great service towards the back post and Connelly hammered the ball back across the face of the goal into the top corner.

Against Dixie State College, Rice scored the match's lone goal on a pass from Jensen by finishing a cross.

The match against Dixie State was one which the Rebels enjoyed a lot of possession time and dominated in shots on goal. UNLV was able to get behind the Dixie State defense, but Dixie State did a good job defending and holding UNLV to just one goal.
