Aztecs to play five-game schedule

The Aztecs will get their spring season underway with a home game against Point Loma Nazarene this Friday at 10 a.m.

SAN DIEGO - San Diego women's soccer coach Mike Friesen has announced a five-game schedule for the 2007 spring season highlighted by three home matches. The Aztecs, who finished the 2006 season with a 6-11-3 overall record, will play all of their home games on the SDSU Sports Deck.

SDSU gets its spring season underway this Friday, March 3, when it plays host to Point Loma Nazarene. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. The Aztecs then have three weeks of competition off until they travel to Cal State Fullerton for a game with the Titans at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, March 24.

SDSU returns to Montezuma Mesa on Friday, April 6 for a match against Cal Poly Pomona at 1 p.m. The Aztecs then play their only mid-week game of the season, a 7 p.m. showdown at UC San Diego on Wednesday, April 11.

San Diego State wraps up the spring campaign on Saturday, April 21 when it hosts Cal Poly San Luis Obispo at 9 a.m.
