    SALT LAKE CITY - The second-seeded BYU Cougars defeated seventh-seeded Air Force, 2-0, today in the first quarterfinal match of the 2003 Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Championship at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah.

    The Cougars took the lead in the 13th minute on senior forward/midfielder Lydia Ojuka's header from five yards out. BYU added another goal in the 54th minute when a shot from junior midfielder/forward Krissa Campbell got past Air Force's goalkeeper J.J. Wolf.

    The Cougars remain undefeated all-time in the MWC Tournament (9-0) and advance to the semifinals where they will face the winner of the Wyoming/New Mexico match, Thursday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m.
