USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 match at home to Northern Colorado Tuesday afternoon at the Cadet Soccer Stadium. The Falcons drop to 2-8-2 on the season and the Bears improved to 4-6-1.

Teresa Prais led the way for UNC, scoring two goals in the first period. Kimberly Hale scored Air Force's goal.

The Bears jumped ahead with a goal in the 24th minute. Marika Johnson got to a ball in a crowd in front of the net and cleaned up for the goal.

Prais made it a 2-0 game in the 29th minute taking a well-timed pass from Laura Engel and redirecting the pass to the right side of the goal for the score. Prais tallied her second goal in the 35th minute scoring on a header off a corner kick by Megan Miller to make it a 3-0 game.

Air Force got on the scoreboard early in the second period, as Corbin Sanford snuck the ball past two UNC defenders to Hale who beat the keeper with a tap in to the right corner of the goal in the 51st minute.

Erin Wallace recorded four saves at goalkeeper for the Falcons. Heidi Owen had three saves for Northern Colorado.

Air Force returns to action Friday, hosting San Diego State at 5 p.m.
