Air Force Opens Mountain West Play with 1-0 Win at Boise State
Murphy's goal in 11th minute gives Falcons first conference road win since 2002.

BOISE, Idaho - Air Force women's soccer opened Mountain West play with a 1-0 win over Boise State Saturday at the Boas Sports Complex. The win improved the Falcons to 6-5-3, 1-0 and dropped Boise State to 5-8-1, 0-2.
The win was Air Force's first conference road win since 2002, when the Falcons knocked off New Mexico in Albuquerque.
Senior Bridgett Murphy's goal in the 11th minute was enough for the Falcons, who have now run their unbeaten streak to five games. Sophomore Leah Bratt assisted on the score. It was Air Force's fourth-consecutive shutout. The Falcons have now held their opponents scoreless in their last 517 minutes of play.
Sophomore Kelly Stambaugh has three saves in the shutout at goalkeeper.
Air Force had a 13-11 advantage in shots. Murphy led the Falcons with five shots and all three of the teams' shots on goal.
The Falcons return to action Friday, Oct. 14, at TCU.
