LOGAN, Utah - UNLV scored twice in the first 15 minutes of the game and held off Utah State in the second half for a 2-1 victory in women's collegiate soccer action from Logan, Utah on Friday afternoon. It was the second straight win for the Rebels, and first on the road this year as they move to 2-1, while the Aggies fell to 0-2-1 on the season.

Sophomore midfielder Erica Jensen scored her first goal as a Rebel in the 13th minute of the game off a rebounded shot by Erica Frizzell, giving UNLV a 1-0 advantage. Less then two minutes later, senior forward Angie Inzana scored the eventual game winner for the Rebels as she went down on a counter attack, and scored on a one-timer on an assist from Armani Rice at 14:31.

Utah State got on the scoreboard in the second half, when Dana Peart headed in Sierra Smith's cross from the right side at 50:19, but that was the only goal UNLV would allow all day, despite being outshot 18-11. Ciera Nero finished with seven saves in goal for UNLV in 90 minutes of action. For Utah State, Kelli Allred allowed both goals and made just one save in the first half, while Lisa Willardson played the second half, and was also credited with one save.

The Rebels will next take on Arizona State in Tempe on Sunday at 1 pm.
