DENVER, Colo. - The Air Force women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 match to Fairfield in both teams' season-opener Friday afternoon at the Denver Tournament at the University of Denver. The Falcons dropped the match despite holding the Stags to just three shots in the contest.

Casey Frobey scored the first goal for Fairfield in the 34th minute. Alex Caram scored the second goal for the Stags in the 48th minute to make it a 2-0 match.

Air Force out-shot Fairfield 7-3. Senior Katherine Slogic led the Falcons with two shots, one on goal. Falcon goalkeeper Erin Wallace took the loss.

Four newcomers, Ali Neptune, Lyndsey Horn, Sarah Horton and Shannon Nail, made their debuts for Air Force.

The Falcons return to action Sunday, Sept. 2, against tournament host Denver.
