Aimee Tjelmeland Signs Letter Of Intent With CSU Tjelmeland is one of the state's most decorated players.
Nov. 14, 2001 FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Colorado State University women's golf coach Megan Menzel today announced that one of the state's premier players, Aimee Tjelmeland, has signed a national letter of intent and will enroll at the school for the fall semester in 2002. "We are very excited for Aimee to join our team," said Menzel. "She has competed at the state and national level and has done very well. She brings the unique experience of playing overseas in England and has shown that she can compete at the very highest levels. Aimee is the type of player that will be a contributor to the success of our program beginning as a freshman."
Tjelmeland is one of the state's most decorated players. She qualified
for the USGA Junior Girls Championship last year and also won the
Colorado Women's Junior Stroke Play Championship. She led the Colorado
Junior Girls Team for the Americas' Cup Match Championships with a 78.33
stroke average. Tjelmeland was also named to the Colorado Junior Golf
Assn. All-Star team.
