UNM Travels to Las Vegas Founders Women's ColleigateShowdown Event to be held at the Anthem Country Club Golf Course in Henderson, Nev.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico women's golf team will travel to Las Vegas, Nev. and the Las Vegas Founders Women's Colleigate Showdown, Nov. 11-13. The tournament will be played at the Anthem Country Club Golf Course in Henderson, Nev. This will be New Mexico's final tournament of the fall season. Format: The tournament consists of 18 holes each of the three days. Start times for the three-day event begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Wednesday. The Anthem Country Club plays to a par 72 on 6,194 yards. Tournament Field: There will be 15 teams participating in the Las Vegas Founders Women's Colleigate Showdown including (GolfWeek Rank): BYU, Colorado, Colorado State, Denver, Eastern Washington, Hawaii, New Mexico (17), Oregon, Pepperdine (12), San Diego State, San Jose State, Texas A&M, host UNLV, Washington and Wyoming. Lobo Lineup: The UNM lineup for the Showdown is as follows: Kailin Downs, Kristi Larsen, Katrina Leckovic, Christina Spence, Shannon Johnson. Larsen returns to the lineup after suffering from a broken hand. This will be the first competition of the season for the junior. New Mexico in the Rankings: In the latest poll released on Nov. 4 by GolfWeek Magazine, the New Mexico Lobos drop 10 spots to No. 17 . The Lobos are No. 14 in the GolfDigest poll of Oct. 18.
In GolfWeek individual rankings, three Lobos are ranked in the top-100 including sophomore Kailin Downs who ranks the highest at No. 32. Junior Katrina Leckovic is listed at No. 77, while sophomore Shannon Johnson is No. 98. Sophomore Christina Spence is ranked No. 129.
