ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico women's golf team will travel to Honolulu, Hawai`i and the 2002 Rainbow Wahine Golf Classic, Oct. 29-30. The tournament will be played at the Kapolei Golf Course in Kapolei, Oahu. This will be New Mexico's fourth tournament of the fall season.

Format: The tournament consists of 36 holes on Tues., Oct. 29 and 18-holes on Wed., Oct. 30. Start times for the two-day event begin at 7:30 a.m. HST in shotgun format. The Kapolei Golf Course plays to a part 72 on 5,900 yards.

Tournament Field: There will be 15 teams participating in the Rainbow Wahine Golf Classic including (GolfWeek Rank): Brigham Young, California (11), host Hawai`i, Kansas, Long Beach State, New Mexico (7), New Mexico State (25), Northern Arizona, Oregon, San Diego State, San Francisco, Southern Illinois, Stanford (35), Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UCLA (21), UC Irvine.
