COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - New Mexico junior Jodi Ewart has been selected the Mountain West Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for September.

Ewart, a Middleham, North Yorkshire, England, native, won the 29th Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational at the UNM Championship Course. She led the Lobos to the team title for the first time since 2003. Ewart shot a 6-under 213 (72-69-72) to take medalist honors by a single stroke over UNLV's Natasha Krishna. Her 6-under score is Ewart's best tournament finish as a Lobo in relation to par. It also marked her third individual championship while at New Mexico, tying for the second spot with Dana Howe on UNM's all-time victory list.

Ewart currently ranks first in the MWC for stroke average (71.00) for less than 10 rounds played and is ranked No. 19 nationally by Golfweek.
