COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - New Mexico sophomore Kailin Downs was named Mountain West Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for September after leading the Lobos to a tournament victory at the 24th Annual Comcast Disk McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. The 2001-02 MWC Freshman of the Year opened the 2002-03 season with a fifth-place finish and a new career-low and even par 219 (73-70-76). This is Downs second golfer of the month award of her career.
