CSU Women's Golf Finishes Fifth at Ron Moore Intercollegiate

The Colorado State women's golf team fired a third-round 317 for a fifth-place finish at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate hosted by Denver University at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club on Tuesday.

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. - The Colorado State women's golf team fired a third-round 317 for a fifth-place finish at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate hosted by Denver University at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club on Tuesday.

The Rams, who were in third after the second round, finished 14 strokes off the University of San Francisco which shot a final-round 315 and won the tournament with a 44-over 908.

Senior Margaret Garehime led Colorado State with a three-round total of 229, good for 15th place individually, including the Rams' best round of the weekend with a 74 on Monday.

Lynette Duran posted the team's best total in Tuesday's final round with a three-over 75 to finish second on the squad with a 231 for the tournament while Trisha Quick and Highlands Ranch native Chelsea Benton scored a 232 and 234, respectively. Kristen Campos rounded out the CSU scoring with a three-day total of 236.

Colorado's Hannah Hoch took home individual honors with a two-over 218 for the event.

The Rams will be in action again on Oct. 4-5 when they play in the Heather Farr/CU Memorial in Broomfield.
