Rams Win Ptarmigan Classic...
The Colorado State women's golf squad earned a convincing 26-stroke victory in the 18-team Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic firing a final-round 295 on Tuesday en route to a three-day total of 876. The Rams beat out second-place teams Colorado and San Jose State, who each shot a 902.

Top Performers...
Senior Lynette Duran finished with a team-best 220 for the tournament after ending with a one-under par 71 in Tuesday's round. Her tournament score was good for a tie for seventh place in the individual standings, seven strokes off the leader.

CSU's Margaret Garehime and Kristen Campos finished the two-day event with five-over par 221s scoring a 77 and 72 in the final round, respectively. They tied for ninth place. The Rams' Trisha Quick finished just behind the duo with a 222 while freshman Chelsea Benton came in at 230.

Up Next...
The Rams travel to the Highlands Ranch Golf Club in Highlands Ranch, Colo. for the Ron Moore Women's Classic, hosted by the University of Denver. The event starts Monday, Sept. 20 with 36 holes and concludes Tuesday, Sept. 21 with 18 holes. The Rams have never participated in the Ron Moore Women's Classic before.

The field includes Colorado State, Long Beach State, Portland State, Colorado, Denver, Nevada, Northern Colorado, San Francisco, Wyoming, California-Irvine, Brigham Young, Iowa State, Northern Arizona, Texas-El Paso, Arkansas-Little Rock, and Weber State.

Noteworthy...
Margaret Garehime shot a new career-low with a second-round 69. The Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic was Lynette Duran's eighth top-10 finish of her career. She finished tied for 27th last year.

Kristen Campos' final-round 72 tied her career low, which she shot as a freshman. Trisha Quick's opening-round 71 tied her career low, which she shot twice last year as a junior.

This was Chelsea Benton's first collegiate tournament.
