COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - 
Eleven Mountain West Conference women's golfers were named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team, it was announced today. Each golfer reached a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and competed in at least 50 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the academic year.

New Mexico and Wyoming each had three student-athletes named to the list. UNM's Alexandra Phelps, who participated in the 2008 NCAA Championships, was joined by teammates Mikaela Backstedt and Py Bengtsson. Wyoming honorees included Lindsay Bauknecht, Laura Mengelkamp and Kaelee Aegerter. UNLV's Therese Koelbaek, the MWC Freshman of the Year, was placed on the list along with fellow Rebel Alejandra Guacaneme. BYU's Jade Bollinger, Colorado State's Kayley Kempton and TCU's Melissa Loh rounded out the MWC contingent.
