Rebel Trio Honored For Academics Glassford, Guacaneme and Koelbaek named to NGCA All-American Scholar Team.

LAS VEGAS - Complete 2009 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team
UNLV women golf had three student-athletes, including a pair of repeat honorees, named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team, the organization announced today. Rebel sophomores Alejandra Guacaneme and Therese Koelbaek were selected for a second consecutive season, while freshman Bethany Glassford was named to the team as well. The three selections ties a school record for the Rebels, which was set during the 2001-02 season. The NGCA All-American Scholar Teams for Division I, II & III teams were comprised of 402 women's collegiate golfers that earned prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
