NEWPORT, R.I. - UNLV women's golfer Da Sol Chung finished her second round Saturday afternoon at the 61st U.S. Women's Open and she missed the cut at the LPGA Major being played at the Newport Country Club.

Chung, only a freshman, shot a 76 (+5) over her second 18 holes and finished tied for 134th with a two round score of 158 (+16). The 76 was a six-stroke improvement over her first round, which was an 82 on the par-71 course.

The 60 lowest scores and anyone tying for 60th place, or anyone within 10 strokes of the leader after the first 36 holes, will play in Sunday's final round.

Chung is now the second Rebel ever to play in an LPGA event, joining former UNLV great Sunny Oh, who finished 49th in the 2004 Takefuji Classic.
