Colorado Springs, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference has announced its Academic All-Mountain West Conference honors for the sports of men's and women's golf. To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have completed one academic term at the member institution, maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and be a starter or significant contributor.

Twenty-two male and eleven female student athletes qualify for the academic all-conference team in the sport of golf. On the men's side, the University of Utah leads the way with five honorees, Colorado State and New Mexico follow with four selections each, UNLV and Wyoming garnered three each, Air Force claimed two and San Diego State had one honoree. For the women, Colorado State University leads the way with four honorees, New Mexico and Wyoming follow with three selections each and San Diego State had one honoree.
