TCU tied for 15th after opening round of NCAA Regional Emanuelsson paces the Horned Frogs with a 77
May 11, 2006 BRYAN, Texas -- The TCU women's golf team shot a 31-over-par 319 and is tied for 15th after Thursday's opening round of the NCAA Central Regional in Bryan, Texas. Friday's second round at the Traditions Golf Club begins at 7:30 a.m. Live scoring is available at www.golfstat.com. No. 6 USC carded a 5-over 293 to sit atop the leaderboard by one stroke over top-ranked Duke. The Horned Frogs, making their 11th consecutive postseason appearance, are 26 shots behind the Trojans. The top eight teams advance to the NCAA National Championships. TCU is 10 strokes behind Ohio State and Kent State who are tied for seventh. Elin Emanuelsson was the top TCU golfer with a 5-over-par 77, placing her in a deadlock for 30th. Fellow Frog junior Camille Blackerby is tied for 39th with an opening-round 78. 1.
