ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico women¹s golf team will travel to Stanford, Calif. and the 2002 NCAA Women¹s Golf West Regional, May 9-11. Stanford will host the three-day event.

New Mexico is one of 21 teams selected to the West Regional. There are three regionals (East, Central and West) who will determine the qualifying field for the 2002 NCAA Women¹s Golf Championships to be held May 21-24 in Auburn, Wash. The University of Washington will host the championship.

Each regional will send eight teams and two individuals (not affiliated to aforementioned team) to the national championship.
