TCU headed to Michigan for NCAA Regional play Horned Frogs to make their 12th consecutive NCAA postseason appearance
April 30, 2007 FORT WORTH, Texas -- The No. 23 TCU women's golf team will make its 12th consecutive NCAA postseason appearance when it begins play May 10 at the NCAA Central Regional at the University of Michigan Golf Course in Ann Arbor, Mich. The 63-team NCAA field was announced Monday along with the three regional sites. Joining the Horned Frogs, seeded seventh, in the NCAA Central Regional field will be top-seed Georgia, Vanderbilt, USC, Tennessee, Arizona, Michigan State, Baylor, Arkansas, Kent State, Ohio State, Northwestern, Michigan, Missouri, SMU, Maryland, Indiana, UNC-Wilmington, Oral Roberts, Southern Illinois and St. Francis (Pa.). The top eight teams at each regional advance to the NCAA National Championship May 22-25 in Daytona Beach, Fla. TCU will be in action for the first time since capturing the Mountain West Conference Championship (April 19-21) in St. George, Utah. The Frogs tied for 17th at last year's NCAA Central Regional in Bryan, Texas. TCU won the 1983 NCAA National Championship.
