COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - BYU junior Juli Erekson has been selected the Mountain West Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for April.

Erekson, a Chicopee, Mass., native, had a third-place finish at the BYU Dixie Classic, her best career finish to date. She posted first- and second-round scores of 76 and 72, respectively, and finished the third round with a one-under-par 71. Her score on the third round (71) was the second-lowest score in the tournament. She was the top Cougar and Mountain West player in the field, while leading the Cougars to a tournament victory.

Erekson currently stands in ninth place in the MWC in stroke average (75.26) and has recorded two top-10 finishes this season.
