COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San Diego State junior Heather McRae was named Mountain West Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for March.

MacRae posted two top-10 finishes during the month, including a career best at the Dr. Thompson Invitational in Kaneohe, Hawai'i. She tied for second out of 43 participants and led SDSU to a runner-up finish. The Dunblane, Scotland native, shot a five-over 221 (72-77-72) on the Par 72, 5,829 yard course. McRae followed that performance with a seventh place finish at the Mountain View Collegiate in Tucson, Ariz. On the par 72, 5,982 yard course, she posted a five-over 221 (75-72-74).

For the month, McRae had an 73.67 stroke average over the two tournaments and lowered her season average to 75.55.
