Wyoming's Santesson Collects McLeodUSA Mountain West Conference Women's Golfer of the Week

Colorado Springs, Colo. ­ University of Wyoming junior Jessi Santesson is the McLeodUSA Mountain West Conference Women¹s Golfer of the Week after leading the Cowgirls to a 3rd place finish in the Boise State Invitational in Boise, Idaho.

Santesson, a Worland, Wyo. (Worland High School) product, finished 1st out of 27 competitors with a four over par score (74-72) for a total of 146. She claimed the tournament title with a win on the first hole of a playoff after having tied with Jamie Jou of Boise State at the end of the regulation 36 holes. This marks Santesson¹s first win as a collegiate golfer.
