SAN DIEGO - The Colorado State women's golf team finished in fifth place after the final day of the Lady Aztec Invitational. The Rams shot a 305 in the final round, 22 shots behind first place San Diego State.

The Rams were led in the tournament by Dawna Virdell who finished in a tie for seventh overall. Virdell shot a 73 on the final day for a final score of 221.

Lynette Duran ended the tournament in 11th place after leading the field following the first round. Duran shot a 77 in the final round for a final score of 223.

Trisha Quick and Stephanie Linnell were both tied for 24th. Quick shot a 76 and Linnell shot an 80 in the final round. Kylee King rounded out the Ram lineup, ending the tournament with a 236 after shooting a 79 in her final round.

San Diego State won the tournament with a team score of 878. Conference rival Brigham Young finished in third place with a score of 893.

Colorado State will now have three weeks off before returning to action in Las Vegas, Nev. for the Las Vegas Founders Collegiate on November 10-12.
