FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Colorado State University's women's golf team is tied for fourth place, nine shots behind team-leading Nevada, following the first round of competition in the Heather Farr Memorial Tournament being played at the Omni Interlocken Course in Broomfield, Colo.

The Rams finished the first day with a 307 team total, while Nevada leads the tournament with a 298 score.

Colorado State's Lynette Duran, competing as an individual in the tournament, is tied with Maria Valente of the University of Idaho for the top spot individually. Duran and Valente each carded one-under-par 71's Monday to tie for top honors.

Ki Braaten led Colorado State Monday, shooting a three-over 75 to tie for 11th place. Stephanie Linnell and Kristen Campos both shot four-over 76's to tie for 13th. Dawna Virdell is tied for 49th, eight-over, and Mayumi Motoyama is tied for 57th with a nine-over 81. Behind the team-leading Wolf Pack, host Colorado is second, three shots behind, 301. Idaho is in third, 302, followed by the Rams and the University of Denver, both at 307 in the 16-team field.

Play concludes Tuesday.
