Women's Golf Forced To Withdraw At NCAA Regionals Inclimate weather keeps seven teams from finishing.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The San Diego State women's golf team was forced to withdraw in the final round of the NCAA East Regional in Chapel Hill, N.C., at the par 72, 6-211-yard Finley Golf Course due to inclimate weather.
Action was delayed at 3:05 p.m. (EST) due to lightning, thunder and rain for players who had not completed the final round. Play continued at 5:08 p.m., unfortunately, tournament officials had to cancel the rest of play because of continuing bad weather at 7:30 p.m. and the seven remaining teams, including San Diego State, were forced to withdraw.
No. 1 Duke won the event with an 871 and finished eight ahead of No. 5 Auburn (879). Duke, Auburn, Georgia, South Florida, New Mexico, South Carolina, San Jose State and Pepperdine will advance to the NCAA Championships May 23-26 at the Mission Inn Resort in Howie-in-the-Hill, Fla.
