The Colorado State women's golf team finished tied for 13th after the first day of the NCAA West Regional in Las Cruces, N.M after shooting a first round 308 (+20). The Rams trail tournament leader Tennessee by 17 strokes.

Trisha Quick led the Rams with a three-over 75 and sits tied for 24th place, six strokes off the lead. Margaret Garehime shot a four-over 76, tying her for 32nd place. Kristen Campos fired a 77 (+5), while teammate Lynette Duran shot an 80 (+8). Chelsea Benton rounded out the Rams' scoring with an 87 (+15).

The West Regional continues tomorrow with a single round beginning tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. MDT, and concludes Saturday. The top eight teams from the Regional advance to the NCAA Championships.
