Rams Finish Tied For 13th After First Round Of NCAA West Regional Colorado State trails tournament leader Tennessee by 17 strokes.
May 5, 2005 The Colorado State women's golf team finished tied for 13th after the first day of the NCAA West Regional in Las Cruces, N.M after shooting a first round 308 (+20). The Rams trail tournament leader Tennessee by 17 strokes. Trisha Quick led the Rams with a three-over 75 and sits tied for 24th place, six strokes off the lead. Margaret Garehime shot a four-over 76, tying her for 32nd place. Kristen Campos fired a 77 (+5), while teammate Lynette Duran shot an 80 (+8). Chelsea Benton rounded out the Rams' scoring with an 87 (+15). The West Regional continues tomorrow with a single round beginning tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. MDT, and concludes Saturday. The top eight teams from the Regional advance to the NCAA Championships. Results will be available live on golfstat.com, and after the round at CSURAMS.com
