The Colorado State women's golf team fired a first-round 302 (+16) and sits in third at the Mountain West Conference championships, seven strokes behind leader UNLV.

Senior Kristen Campos led the Rams with a two-over 73, and is tied for fifth place, four strokes behind individual leader Elena Kurokawa of UNLV, who shot a 69 (-2). Lynette Duran is in eighth with a four-over 75. Chelsea Benton and Trisha Quick each shot a 77 (+6) and are tied for tenth. Margaret Garehime rounded out the Rams scoring with an 84 (+13) and sits in 27th place.

The second round tees off tomorrow at 9 a.m. PT at Meadows Golf Course in Oregon (par 71). The tournament concludes a final round Saturday at 9 a.m. PT. Results are available live at themwc.com & golfstat.com, and will be available after the tournament at CSURAMS.com
