Women's Golf In Third At Utah Dixie Classic Rollo leads the Aztecs

ST. GEORGE, Utah - The San Diego State women's golf team is in third place of 19 teams after the first round of the Utah Dixie Classic after shooting a 305 at the Sunbrook Golf Course on Monday.
SDSU is in third place behind San Fancisco (297) and Northern Arizona (304). The Aztecs are two strokes ahead of Mountain West foes Colorado State (307) and four strokes ahead of Brigham Young (309).
Junior Heather Rollo leads the Aztecs and is in fourth place overall with a 74. Senior Jo Clingan turned in the next best finish for the Aztec team with a 76 in 11th place. San Diego State freshman Shayna Miyajima, competing as an individual, is in eighth with a 75. Susannah Laing of San Francisco and Melanie Matsumura of Hawaii lead the field with a 71.
The second and third rounds of the Dixie Classic will conclude on Tuesday. The teams will tee off at 8 a.m., but may be delayed because of frost until 9 a.m.
