Rams Golf Finish Third At Anteater Invitational Kristen Campos led the Rams with a 12-over 228.

The Colorado State women's golf team placed third in the UC Irvine Anteater Invitational with a team score of 924 in the ten team tournament. The Rams carded rounds of 304 (+16), 313 (+25), and 307 (+19). Kristen Campos led the Rams with a 12-over 228 after shooting a one-over 73 in the final round, the Rams' low score of the tournament. Campos' score was good for a sixth-place finish overall in the tournament. Freshman Chelsea Benton carded a three-round total of 229 (+13) placing her in a tie for seventh while Trisha Quick tied for 12th overall with a 232 (+15). Lynette Duran and Megan Chapman rounded out CSU's scoring with a 236 (+19) and 253 (+36), respectively. UC Irvine won the tournament with a 905 while Boise State's Ashley Hogg carded a 216 to claim top honors in the two-day event. Up next... The Rams travel to Tucson, Ariz., for the Mountain View Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Arizona. The tournament begins Saturday, March 26, and concludes Sunday, March 27. The Rams competed last year at the Mountain View, where they recorded a three-round 902 (+38) en route to a tie for second place. Kristen Campos led the Rams with a three-round 220 (+4), which included a second-round 69, her low score of the season. She finished tied for fifth. Trisha Quick finished tied for 25th with a 227 (+11). Lynette Duran and Margaret Garehime tied for 37th, shooting 230 (+14). Noteworthy... Kristen Campos passed Trisha Quick as the Rams' scoring average leader. Last week Trisha Quick passed Lynette Duran as the Rams' leading scorer. The Anteater Invitational was Megan Chapman's third tournament of the
season, and her first tournament in CSU's top five golfers.
