Cowgirl Ashley Sickles Out With Knee Injury

Sickles has a torn ACL in her right knee.

University of Wyoming Cowgirl head basketball coach Joe Legerski announced Friday that sophomore Ashley Sickles suffered a season ending injury in the exhibition game against Adams State on Monday.

Sickles, from Cresco, Iowa, has a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her right knee. She will be scheduled for surgery over the next couple of weeks, and is expected to make a full and complete recovery.

Sickles played in 18 games during her freshman campaign a year ago. She averaged 1.9 points and one rebound in 7.9 minutes per game.
