COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - In conjunction with the Mountain West Conference's annual Basketball Media Day activities, The Mtn. - MountainWest Sports Network will air the next in a series of special presentations highlighting the 10th Anniversary of the Mountain West Conference.

The Mtn. will announce the MWC's 10th Anniversary Teams for men's and women's basketball on Monday, Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m. MT. The announcement of the 10th anniversary men's and women's indoor track and field and men's and women's swimming and diving teams will also be shown on The Mtn. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 6:30 p.m. MT. Interviews with coaches and several of the respective honorees will be part of each 30-minute show.

The Mountain West is naming anniversary teams for all 19 sponsored sports during the 2008-09 school year to commemorate its 10th Anniversary season. The teams will be selected by a combined panel of media, institutional and conference personnel and fans.

The 10th anniversary men's and women's basketball teams will consist of 10 players, regardless of the position. Candidates for the MWC 10th Anniversary basketball teams must have been a first team all-conference selection at least once in their MWC career. The all-decade teams for MWC men's and women's indoor track and field and men's and women's swimming and diving will also be comprised of 10 student-athletes, regardless of event. To be eligible for consideration, the student-athlete must have been a top finisher at the MWC or NCAA championships.
