New Mexico's Caroline Durbin and Wyoming's Chaundra Sewell Named Capital One Academic All-Americans
Second-consecutive honor for Durbin, first for Sewell

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Two Mountain West women's basketball student-athletes were named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America® Team today. New Mexico senior Caroline Durbin was named to the team for the second season in a row, this year to the Second Team after being named to the First Team in 2012. Wyoming senior Chaundra Sewell was named to the Third Team, her first Academic All-America honor.
Durbin holds a 4.18 grade point average as a Business major with a concentration in Accounting and Finance. She is currently averaging 12.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game, while shooting a league second-best 41.5% from three-point range. The native of Austin, Texas, was a 2012 First Team All-Mountain West selection. Durbin is also a mainstay on the Mountain West All-Academic Team and the Mountain West Scholar Athlete list.
Sewell carries a 3.85 grade point average in Pre-pharmacy. She averages 15.2 points and an MW-leading 9.5 rebounds per game. The native of Broomfield, Colo., also leads the league in field goal percentage (52.5%), is fifth in blocked shots (1.2 per game) and is fourth in free throw shooting (79.9%). Sewell was a Second Team All-Mountain West and MW All-Defensive Team pick in 2012, after earning MW honorable mention in 2011. She is a three-time MW All-Academic and MW Scholar-Athlete honoree.
