Transcript from Wednesday's chat:

Moderator: TheMWC.com and ESPN.com would like to welcome New Mexico's Jordan Adams.

Betty Fry (Albuquerque): How do you think you would like playing for a female coach with as much knowledge as Don Flanagan?

Jordan Adams: Well I have played for female coaches in the past and they are easier to relate to and they were good coaches just like coach Flanagan is.

ALEC (MUSCATINE): Hey Jordan, I'm a huge Lobos fan and I wanted to know what has been the biggest game you have ever played in?

Jordan Adams: The Ohio State game last year in the WNIT. This season it would have been the UNLV game on ESPN.

Carl (Albuquerque): The Pit can be a very intimidating place for the visiting team, but do you feel that the home team can be intimidated as well, considering how young the team currently is?

Jordan Adams: I don't think the newcomers have gotten intimated, I feel they have gotten nervous but once they're in the game I don't feel the crowd has bothered them.

Laura (Albuquerque): What has been the most exciting thing for you since you've started playing college basketball?

Jordan Adams: Playing in front of big crowds and having little girls look up to me.

Tommy A.: Are you single??

Jordan Adams: Yes. Thanks for asking.

JFK(ABQ): Flanagan seems quite self-controlled during games. What does he do to rouse the team when needed? Is he more fiery at practice?

Jordan Adams: He is not really a fiery coach unless he gets really mad. But he gets his point across by a certain look he gives.

JFK(ABQ): Any chance you could help out the UNM volleyball team next year, at least until basketball practice starts?

Jordan Adams: Coach Flanagan has assured me that will not be happening.

UNM: How is your relationship with fellow teammates like Chelsea Grear and Mandi Moore? Do they have any affect on how you play?

Jordan Adams: Relationships between teammates are very important. Mandi and I are becoming really good friends and I think it carries over onto the basketball court.

Lubbock: How important are the freshmen to this team? Recently people have said you are in a slump, do you feel you are or do you feel that other teams have just started focusing on you that much more?

Jordan Adams: I think I am in a slump offensively but haven't stopped working hard.

AL (Colorado Springs): What do you think the Lady Lobos need to concentrate on to win the MWC?

Jordan Adams: Defensively, working hard and not giving up open shots. Offensively, taking our time to get open shots.

Arthur Gurule(Las Vegas, New Mexico): Jordan, I have cousins(Valerie, Analise, Alyssa, Vera Jo, Martinika) who are currently playing basketball what advice would you give them to accomplish their goals in becoming great players and play at UNM when they are older?

Jordan Adams: Work hard and play for fun rather than because people tell you that you should. Play as often as you can.

Mr. A: Who are your role models and your favorite basketball players?

Jordan Adams: Biggest role models and favorite players are Mandi Moore, Mia Hamm and Jennifer Azzi.

Ari (Teanek): Hey Jordan, why do where number 40?

Jordan Adams: My freshman year in H.S. I had No. 55. I began wearing No. 40 as a H.S. sophomore and have worn it ever since.

Mr. A: What do you like to do when you are not playing ball?

Jordan Adams: I enjoy playing volleyball and hang out at the beach and playing water sports.

Kathryn Harrell: How do you keep your grades up when you travel all over the United States for basketball games?

Jordan Adams: We have study hall on the road and keep in contact with profs via email.

Suzanne in ABQ: Hi Jordan- I'm sorry if you get asked this a lot, but what's your interest in playing in the WNBA? And if you feel you have a chance, what aspects of your game would you be most inclined to work on in order to attract interest from WNBA scouts?

Jordan Adams: My ultimate goal is to play in the WNBA. I feel I have a lot to work on still, mostly mental. I really don't know how good my chances are.

Mr. Lunt (Albuquerque): Jordan, hope the back is doing better. Glad to see the great game last weekend. Quick question. On paper UNM leads CSU in most stats, however we have not broken into the top 25 yet. What do you think it will take for the team to get the national respect you deserve?

Jordan Adams: I would think we would have to make sure we win the games we are supposed to. Road games are the most important and winning those will help a lot.

LoboFan (Albuquerque): Jordan- What is your pregame ritual? Do you have any superstitions that you have to do before or after a game?

Jordan Adams: I take a short nap prior to a game. When I wake up I take a shower so that I am refreshed for the game.

Lobo Lucy (Albuquerque): Who is your favorite actor/actress?

Jordan Adams: Right now, Josh Hartnet and Julia Roberts are my favorites.

Kathryn Harrell (Santa Fe): What's the hardest thing about being a celebrity?

Jordan Adams: I really don't consider myself a celebrity. I think it's great people look up to us in The Pit.

JFK (ABQ): What personal goals did you set for yourself this year, in & out of basketball? How do you feel you are doing in terms of achieving your goals?

Jordan Adams: Personal goals are to make myself the best I can be and not compare myself to others. Also being mentally tougher, live in the now and not say negative things to myself.

NICHOL: DO YOU LIKE CHELSEA'S COOKING?

Jordan Adams: I live for Chelsea's cooking. However she's been neglecting me lately.

ZONA(Arizona): What do you plan to do after college

Jordan Adams: I would like to keep playing basketball as long as I can. Otherwise get a job in the news media.

josh (albuquerque): Hey Jordan what is the best thing about playing for UNM?

Jordan Adams: That our team is well know in Albuquerque, we get a lot of publicity in town and people respect us.

UNM(Albuquerque): What is a day like in Jordan's world?

Jordan Adams: I get up, go to class, grab something quick to eat then go to practice. Following practice, I take a nap, then study, and then off to bed.

ShotDoctor: Which team is the most difficult to play in the Mountain West Conference? Are you looking forward to the tournament in Las Vegas?

Jordan Adams: UNLV as it has well shown this season. I don't feel we match-up well against them and it may be a little bit mental. CSU and Utah are tough as well, esp. at home. I always look forward to the tournament. We're mentally strong and should do well in Las Vegas.

Faulker (Alb.): So how do you like your roommates??

Jordan Adams: I love my roommates and we get along well.

Sanchez (ABQ): You have a tough slate of road games coming up - How are you and the team going to stay focused?

Jordan Adams: I think we are a better road team this season. We'll do well as long as we enter them prepared.

Katie: When did you first start playing basketball?

Jordan Adams: When I was 12, in 6th grade. I wasn't very good. When I was in 8th grade I started playing a lot.

JM-UNM: Jordan, I am a first year student athletic trainer and I want to be the trainer for women's basketball next year. How do you guys treat your trainers?

Jordan Adams: Our trainers in the past have told us they liked working with us because we treat them well. I think they've enjoyed it.

UNM: What kind of music do you like to listen to?

Jordan Adams: A little bit of everything, depends on my mood. I like all genres of music.

Bruce (Chicago): How have your impressions of New Mexico and Coach Flanagan changed since before you came to Albuquerque and the 'Bo's?

Jordan Adams: They are pretty much the same. Coach Flanagan has always been really nice and fatherly. Albuquerque has always been a culture shock to me. It's really different than any other place I've been to, the buildings, people, etc.

Dal (Logandale): Who is your biggest fan that's not related to you?

Jordan Adams: You are. You've always been a big supporter of mine. Thank you!

Bac: Jordan! You're my ultimate hero!!!!!! I just have one question, how tall are you? J/K. When you first started playing basketball, did you know or plan to go as far as you have? Also....I heard your sister is taller and prettier than you, is it true?!

Jordan Adams: When I first started it was all for fun. I didn't think I would go this far. Thanks Bacon I love you!

Victoria(albuquerque): Why and what made you chose UNM, were you disappointed UNLV did not recruit you?

Jordan Adams: I chose UNM because Coach Flanagan said he would teach me and I wanted that as well as to play in front of huge crowds. UNLV recruited me, but late in the process.

Moderator: That is all the time that Jordan has for us today. Thanks for all the great questions!
